Adrien is unsure if his emotionally distant and cold father was really the same man who defeated Monarch, and along with Nino, decides to interview acquaintances of Gabriel Agreste to uncover the truth, making Marinette do everything she can to hide the secret. Meanwhile, Adrien's aunt, Amélie, ends up being akumatized due to an injustice done by an apartment buyer.

I love this EP but Marinette should stop lying to Adrien and the world she's only 14-15 no minor should have this trauma

marinette literally learned nothing. she's still lying. this series would be better off remaining as lighthearted or marinette having told the truth from the start. i believe this plot could be better but the writers are just going in a loop.

The writing of this series is bad... This show had an incredible premise: a love square with only two characters, plus the secret identity plot. But the writers don't know how to make a story move forward without jumping directly to the conclusion, or make it go in circles forever. Characters learn something, and they forget it by the next episode (how many times has Marinette lied, seen the consequences, and supposedly learned?). They make them take irrational courses of action (like Gabriel writing a letter telling Adrien he is a villain, then asking Marinette to not tell him...). They created a dumb rule of Ladybug not telling Chat her identity for safety reasons, then she proceeds to reveal it to Alya, Felix, Kagami, Nathalie, and who knows how many more I can't remember... I don't like criticizing just for the sake of it, but the writing has been bad for seasons and seasons, and they never thought of actually hiring someone to guide them... This series is a total waste of potential

i agree. this story could definitely go well if they changed a few things. they should keep the love square + secret identities, but i think the story would be better if marinette had told the truth from the start.

I agree in some ways with this. The secret identities is obviously something that everyone has been wanting reveals on, especially since they defeated the main villain (monarch) and have already gotten into a relationship in their normal lives. I don't think it would change anything now, it might actually be better for the show instead of constantly coming up with excuses when there is danger. The irrational courses of action: Honestly you picked that up faster than most of the fandom I think. For the most part, the lying part in general could be problematic since now she has to come up with more excuse and lies to cover it up, but then there would be no way to start out season 6. I do agree with you for the most part, but lets trust that they will find a way to make this series better again :)

I also agree well she did tell Bunnyx to but ya this rule is dumb and stupid and thanks to this dumb rule I have almost lost interest in season 6 ha!
